(Luxemburg, WI) September 3 – Brian Mullen took the lead on lap 6 and went on to win the 25 lap IMCA Modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway. Other feature winners were Ben Kroll (stock car), Johnny Whitman (sport mod), Luke Lemmens (hobby Stock), and Ralph Liegeois Jr. (Sport Four).

Kyle Kudick took the lead early in the IMCA Modified feature before 7-time champion Brian Mullen began to work his way to the inside. They would run door to door, with Mullen taking the lead on lap 6 and never looking back, driving away from the field and winning the 25 lap contest. Kyle Kudick would take second, Shawn Kilgore third, Mike Wedelstadt fourth and Eddie Munster would place fifth.
　
Jared Siefert would capture his second title in the IMCA Modifieds, and his third total at Luxemburg as he is a former Street Stock Champion.
　
Ben Kroll took home his second feature in a row, also scoring a clean sweep winning his heat race in the IMCA Stock Cars.
　
The stage was set for a close points battle in the IMCA Stock Cars. Troy Muench came in the point leader holding a 2 point edge over Matt Junio and 11 points over Ben Kroll. When the green flag flew it was Scott Stewart taking off from his front row starting spot. Kroll quickly began working his way through the field, moving into second on lap 8 after starting 10th. Muench also broke into the top 10 early with Junio right on his back bumper.
　
Stewart and Kroll would begin a side by side battle that waged for 5 laps with Kroll taking the lead for good on lap 15. Kroll would begin to check out leaving Muench and Junio to battle for the title. Junio would pull door to door with Muench but couldn’t complete the pass. When the checkers fell Muench would place 7th with Junio 8th. Following Kroll at the finish line, Scott Steward second, Dave DeGrave third, Dustin Loberger fourth, and Steven Stewart fifth.
　
Troy Muench would capture his first career title in the Stock Cars, by 3 points over Matt Junio.
　
Johnny Whitmann would end his stellar season picking up the checkers in the IMCA Sport Mods.
　
Rookie Mike Joski set the early paces in the IMCA Sport Mods. Joski would begin to pull away from the field, but a series of cautions would put the pack right on his back bumper. That was the break Johnny Whitman would need, he would work the low side of Joski and take the lead on lap 14 and go on the to win the 20 lap contest, second would go to a hard charging Brad Lautenbach, third to Troy Jerovetz, fourth to Mike Joski, Chris Benes in his best run of the year was fifth.
　
Troy Jerovetz would capture the Sport Mod title, his first career at Luxemburg.
　
Luke Lemmens would charge from his 15th place starting position to take the lead on lap 11 and win the IMCA Hobby Stock feature, his second in a row.
　
A lap 5 crash in turn 4 would send points leader and defending champion Chad Kaminski with a flat tire to pit lane in the IMCA Hobby Stock Feature. Kaminski would come into the night with a 7 point edge over Marcus Moede. Moede also came in the Co-State point leader. Kaminski would return to action and stay on the lead lap but his car would suffer damage and not be up to full speed the rest of the event.
　
When the race resumed it was Rob Waechter Jr. on point. Waechter would lead the next 5 circuits before Co-State point Luke Lemmens rocketed by after coming through the B-Main, Waechter would make contact with Lemmens sending Lemmens spinning. The caution flag would fly, sending Waechter to the back for contact, Lemmens would be given his spot as the leader.
　
If the race had ended at that point Kaminski would have trailed Moede. As the race resumed Moede and Tom Brumlic who also went through the B-Main battled for the second spot, this allowed Lemmens to cruise away and pick up the win. Tom Brumlic would hold on to second with a borrowed car after blowing his engine in his heat race. Third for Marcus Moede, fourth to Rookie Douglas Engleking and fifth to Wes Salentine.
　
Chad Kaminski would soldier on with his machine and pass enough cars and clinch his second career track title by a mere 2 points in the IMCA Hobby Stocks.
　
Ralph Liegeois Jr. captured the Sport four feature win, holding off a hard charging Sam Ambrosious.
　
Jessi Ness would capture her first career Championship taking home the title in the Sport Fours. Ness became the first women to ever win a title at Luxemburg.
　
Their will be no racing next week. Racing will resume with the Tisler Salvage 7th Annual Fall Classic on September 17 & 18.

(Luxemburg, WI) August 28 – Brad Rohloff fought off a hard charging Kyle Lentz to pick up his second IMCA Modified feature win of the season at Luxemburg Speedway. Other feature winners were Ben Kroll (stock car), Troy Jerovetz (sport mod), Luke Lemmens (hobby stock), and Justin Vannieuwenhoven (sport four).

Dean Mauer set the early paces in the IMCA Modified main before former stock car champion Eric Van Iten took over the top spot sprinting past Mauer using the high groove. Van Iten would choose to run the middle groove, leaving the high side open, Brad Rohloff would use that to his advantage and pass Van Iten on lap 10.

R.M. Van Pay and Jeremy Jacobs would make contact heading into turn one causing a 6 car pile up that included title contender Benji LaCrosse who came in only 1 point out of the lead. LaCrosse would end up on pit lane and wouldn’t return. Once racing resumed Rohloff set sail leaving the battle between Mauer and Kyle Lentz. With 5 laps remaining Lentz put on a charge and began to reel in Rohloff. As the checkers waved Lentz dove under Rohloff, when they cross the finish line it was Rohloff winning by half a car length. Second for Kyle Lentz, Dean Mauer third, point leader Jared Siefert third after starting 14th, and Eric Van Iten rounded out the top five.

Ben Kroll picked out dueled Kyle Fredrick to pick up his first win of the season in the IMCA Stock Cars.

Evan Madden set the first 11 laps of the stock car main, which saw 3 and 4 wide racing deep in the field. This close racing would be trouble for point leader Matt Junio as he would suffer a flat tire due to contact. Junio would go pit side under green and go laps down. A caution on lap 11 was not what Madden wanted to see as this would bunch the field.

On the restart Ben Kroll who charged from his 12th place starting position would take the lead on lap 12. Kyle Fredrick who started 9th would make his presence felt as he began working the low groove and challenging Kroll for the top spot. Fredrick fresh off a big win at 141 Speedway would take the lead on lap 16. Kroll would regroup a lap later and take the lead away from Fredrick and fight off a hard charging Shawn Havel to win his first feature of the season. Shawn Havel would place second, Kyle Fredrick third, with a fourth place finish Troy Muench would take over the point lead and Dave Bouche would place fifth.

With his feature win in the IMCA Sport Mods, Troy Jerovetz all but locked up his first Luxemburg title.

Kurt Moeller set the early paces but was challenged early by multi feature winner Johnny Whitmann. The duo would run door to door with Whitmann taking over the top spot on lap 10. Whitmann looked to be well on his way to another feature win.

Points leader Troy Jerovetz began working his way through the pack from his 12th place starting spot and by lap 15 he had caught Whitmann. Jerovetz would run the high groove and Whitmann down low. With only 2 laps remaining Jerovetz would make the pass for the lead and take home the win. By virtue of his win, Troy will just have take the green flag next week to clinch his first career title at Luxemburg. Second to Johnny Whitmann, third J.J. Anderson, fourth to Brad Theys who started 16th and Kurt Moeller fifth.

Luke Lemmens took home top honors in the IMCA Hobby Stock division.

Lemmens would take the lead away from Rookie Shawn Besson on lap 5 and survive several late race cautions to pick up yet another feature win. Current point leader Chad Kaminski would pad his lead taking second, Tom Brumlic third, State Point leader Marcus Moede fourth and defending State Champion Frank Paul fifth.

With the win Lemmens now sits just one point back of Moede in the battle for State Crown.

Justin Vannieuwenhoven would pass Tony Everard in the waning laps to win the Sport Four Feature.

Next Friday night, September 3 will be Tri County Heating Championship night at the races. Track Champions will be crowned in all five divisions.

(LUXEMBURG, WI) August 6 — Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse snuck past Little Suamico’s Sean Jerovetz out of the final corner of the final lap to capture the green-t0-checkered 25 lap IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night. LaCrosse also won his heat netting a sweep for the evening.

A total of 127 cars signed in to do battle, including 21 IMCA modifeds, 23 stock cars, 32 northern sportmods, 11 street stocks, 22 hobby stocks and 18 sport fours.

It appeared Pulaski’s Brad Rohloff was headed to victory for the second week in a row, as Rohloff fought off Dean Maurer of De Pere in the early going. Rohloff had maintained a comfortable lead. But with seven laps to go Sean Jerovetz and LaCrosse closed in on the lead duo, with Jerovetz taking the lead on lap 20. With five laps to go LaCrosse began chipping away and Jerovetz’s advantage, and as the pair came out of turn four to take the checkers LaCrosse squeezed past Jerovetz for the lead. Jerovetz settled for second place money, followed by Rohloff, Seymour’s Mike Mullen and New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore.

Pulaski’s Andy Kleczka rode the high line, and led every lap en route to capturing his first career 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature, which went also went caution free. Brussel’s Cory Cochart kept Kleczka within striking distance the entire way, but settled for second. Oconto Falls’ Eric Arneson battled his way through the pack to finish third. Points leader Troy Jerovetz of Green Bay took fourth, followed by Seymour’s Kurt Moeller.

Oconto’s Scott Stewart captured his first 22 lap IMCA stock car feature of the season. New Franken’s Ben Kroll took second in the caution free contest, followed by John Heinz of Green Bay; Greg Gretz of Kewaunee and Matt Junio of Casco.

Joe Schwister of Black Creek outdistanced Kaukauna’s Danny Gracyalny and company to win the 20 lap street stock feature. Brillion’s Ryan Brandes passed Gracyalny on the final lap to take second. Reedsville’s Matt Reinke and Green Bay’s Todd Everard rounded out the top five.

Defending track champion Chad Kaminski of Luxemburg regained the points lead after picking up the win in the 18 lap IMCA hobby stock feature. Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens took second, followed by Denmark’s Tom Brumlic, Casco’s Derek Moede and Kewaunee’s George Paul.

Oconto’s Ralph Liegois Jr. swept action in the sport four class, winning both his heat and the 15 lap feature.

Next Friday August 13 there will no racing at the track due to an RV event at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds. Weekly racing will resume Friday, August 20 during Luxemburg Implement night. (LUXEMBURG, WI) July 30 — Pulaski veteran Brad Rohloff found the wet, heavy track to his liking at Luxemburg Speedway. Rohloff fought off defending track champion Brian Mullen in the final laps to capture the 25 lap IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.

Rohloff scored a sweep on the night with his heat win.

A total of 121 cars signed in to do battle, including 23 IMCA modifeds, 27 stock cars, 30 northern sportmods, 24 hobby stocks and 17 sport fours.

Rohloff took the lead at the drop of the green. Even through a pair of cautions in the early going, Rohloff easily outdistanced the field. With the final caution falling with eight laps to go, the field tightened up on Rohloff, and Mullen, Frog Station’s Dan Ratacjzak and Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse put the heat on Rohloff. The wily veteran hung on to capture his first Luxemburg Speedway feature in more than a decade. Brian Mullen hung on for second, followed by Ratacjzak, De Pere’s Jay Matthias and Seymour’s Mike Mullen. LaCrosse dropped out with mechanical woes with four laps remaining.

Ellisville’s Bob Waechter passed Suamico’s Jerry Leary for the lead on lap 18 and survived a late race caution to win his first, 22 lap IMCA stock car feature of the season. Leary hung on for second in his best performance of the year. Oconto’s Dustin Loberger, Forestville’s Charlie Kroll and Union’s Troy Muench finished third through fifth, respectively.

Rookie Tyler Hackett of Algoma captured his first career 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature. New Franken’s Mike Joski took second, followed by De Pere’s Troy De Grave, Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz and Green Bay’s Josh Long.

Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens squeezed past Luxemburg’s Wes Salentine on lap nine and cruised to victory in the 18 lap IMCA hobby stock feature. Salentine hung on for second, followed by Kewaunee brothers Frank and George Paul, and Denmark’s Tom Brumlic.

Pulaski’s Sam Ambrosius won the 15 lap sport four feature.

Next Friday night, August 6 it will be Luxemburg Speedway Hall of Fame night. Former drivers Irv Ettien, Ted Peters, Bobby Marquis, Len Zellner and Earl Ness will be inducted along with former track photographer Marv Bins. (LUXEMBURG, WI) July 16– De Pere’s Jay Matthias fought off Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse in the final laps and hung on to win his first, 25 lap IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday.

A total of 127 cars signed in to do battle, including 27 IMCA modifeds, 29 stock cars, 34 northern sportmods, 20 hobby stocks and 17 sport fours.

Matthias started 10th on the gride, and gradually worked his way into fifth by lap 8. Little Suamico’s Danny Deau sprinted from his outside front row starting spot to hold the lead in the early going. Green Bay’s Eric Van Iten ducked underneath Deau to take the lead on lap seven.

By this time, Matthias had charged into third. By the event’s halfway point, Matthias grabbed the lead on lap seventeen from Van Iten. A caution flew with three laps to go, setting up a dash to the finish.

LaCrosse snuck into second on the restart and hugged the inner groove, while Matthias found bite on the high side. Matthias hung on to edge LaCrosse at the checkers for his first feature flag of 2010. LaCrosse held on for second, followed by Van Iten, Green Bay’s Eddie Muenster and Algoma’s Jeremy Jacobs.

Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger made a triumphant return to Luxemburg Speedway, by passing Kewaunee’s Brian Bruechert with 12 laps to go and fought off Union’s Troy Muench and Casco’s Matt Junio to win the 22 lap IMCA stock car feature. With his heat win the former IMCA national champion scored a clean sweep.

Muench hung on for second, followed by Junio, Luxemburg’s Dave De Grave who raced his way into the main through the semi-feature and Hortonville rookie Justin Jacobsen.

De Pere’s Johnny Whitman slipped inside of Algoma’s Tyler Hackett on lap 10 and fought off arch rival Troy Jerovetz of Green Bay to win the 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature. Whitman scored a heat win, nailing a sweep for the night.

Jerovetz finished second while Shawano’s Tracy Wassenberg, who battled his way into the main by winning a semi feature, sliced through traffic to take third. Hackett and Oconto Falls’ Eric Arneson placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

The IMCA hobby stock feature was red flagged on lap 13 when Frank Paul of Luxemburg flipped his mount. The car burst into flames. Paul escaped without injury. Algoma’s Marcus Moede captured the 18 lap feature win, followed by Luxemburg’s George Paul, Luxemburg’s Chad Kaminski, Denmark’s Tom Brumlic and Carlsville’s Chris Christensen.

Sobieski’s Dan Juszczyk won the 15 lap sport four feature.

(LUXEMBURG, WI) July 9 — Gillett’s Kyle Frederick passed New Franken’s Troy Muench with three laps to go and went on to win the caution free, 22 lap IMCA stock car feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night on Custom Windows Plus night at the races.

Juneau’s Russ Reinwald passed Little Suamico’s Danny Deau for the lead on lap 10 and went on to capture the caution free, 25 lap IMCA modified feature.

A total of 130 cars signed in to do battle, including 24 IMCA modifeds, 26 stock cars, 28 northern sportmods, 18 street stocks, 20 hobby stocks and 14 sport fours.

Frederick started 10th on the grid and gradually worked his way into the top five by lap 10. Muench and Oconto’s Dustin Loberger took turns swapping the lead, when Frederick and Ellisville’s Robert Waechter all mixed it up for the lead from laps 10 to 18. Frederick squeezed inside of Muench on lap 19 to take the lead and eventually the win. Muench, Loberger, Waechter and Luxemburg’s Dave De Grave rounded out the top five.

Reinwald received a still challenge at the event’s mid point by Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse, who wound up second. Seymour’s Mike Mullen charged from 12th to finish third, followed by Frog Station’s Dan Ratajczak and De Pere’s Jay Matthias.

Oconto Falls’ Eric “Chummy” Arneson muscled his way inside of New Franken’s Mark Joski on the final lap to take the 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature. Joski held on for second in his best career performance. De Pere’s Troy “Snoot” De Grave also posted his top performance of the year with a third place. De Pere’s Johnny Whitman took fourth while Kewaunee’s Brad Theys finished fifth, after qualifying into the feature by winning the semi feature.

Brillion’s Ryan Brandes, who started 17th, passed Greenville’s Danny Gracyalny for the lead with three laps to go to win the 20 lap street stock feature. Green Bay’s Todd Everard snuck past Gracyalny near the end to take second place, followed by Gracyalny, Kaukauna’s Matt Drawenek and Kewaunee’s Ed Anschutz.

Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens swept action in the IMCA hobby stock class, winning his heat and the 18 lap feature. Trailing Lemmens at the checkers were Frank Paul, Derek Moede, Wes Salentine and Chad Kaminski.

Pulaski’s Sam Ambrosius swept action in the sport four class, winning both his heat and the 15 lap feature.

(LUXEMBURG, WI) July 2– Current IMCA national northern sportmod points leader Troy Jerovetz of Green Bay padded his points lead, by scoring a clean sweep at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.

Seymour’s Brian Mullen fought off arch rival Eddie Muenster of Green Bay in the final ten laps to capture the 25 lap IMCA modified feature.

A total of 109 cars signed in to do battle, including 19 IMCA modifeds, 25 stock cars, 29 northern sportmods, 20 hobby stocks and 16 sport fours.

Mullen started in 13th and worked his way into the top five by lap seven. Muenster wrestled the lead away from Jeremy Jacobs on lap five and kept Mullen at bay, until a mid race caution tightened the field.

On the restart the veteran duo swapped the lead no less than five times, with Mullen driving around Muenster with three laps to go to seal the win. Muenster, Benji LaCrosse, James Lee Tebon and Shawn Kilgore placed second through fifth, respectively.

While it appeared the IMCA northern sportmod main would be a cakewalk for Jerovetz, nothing could have been further from the truth, as with six laps to go the Oconto duo of Jeremy Cota and Travis Cain closed in on the national points leader. At one point, Cota held the lead for two laps. In the end Jerovetz sifted his way skillfully through lapped cars to collect the win. Cota nailed down second in his finest performance of the year, followed by Cain, Oconto Falls’ Eric Arneson and Green Bay’s Aaron Holiday.

Kewaunee’s Brian Bruechert fought off arch rival Troy Muench of Union to win the time shortened, caution plagued 18 lap IMCA stock car feature. Muench took second, followed by Luxemburg’s Dave De Grave, former street stock driver Mike Coel and Casco’s Matt Junio.

Points leader John Heinz lost his points lead after he was black flagged for running into another car while under caution. Kewaunee’s Greg Gretz inherited the points lead with his sixth place finish. That after pitting early in the race and charging through the field.

Denmark’s Tom Brumlic won his second straight IMCA hobby stock feature. Brumlic fought off a late race surge from Luxemburg’s Frank Paul, who took second. Chad Kaminski, Marcus Moede and
John Hill rounded out the top five.

Pulaski’s Justin Vanniewenhoven won the 15 lap sport four main.

Next Friday night, July 9 it will be Custom Windows Plus night at the races. Street stocks will be an added class and Big wheel races will also be run at intermission. Custom Windows Plus team driver Nick Anvelink of Bonduel will have his WISSOTA late model on display under the grandstand.

(LUXEMBURG, WI) June 25– New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore led every lap and survived five caution periods to capture the 30 lap IMCA modified feature during night two of the Badger State Showdown presented by CZ’s Bushville Lanes at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.

A total of 122 cars signed in to do battle, including 32 IMCA modifeds, 36 stock cars, 30 northern sportmods and 24 hobby stocks.

Kilgore kept the top spot through four of the cautions which occurred in the first five laps. Hometown driver Benji LaCrosse kept Kilgore within striking distance for the balance of the contest. Kilgore’s
win was worth $1,300 and he will be put on the FastShaft All Star ballot for the IMCA Supernationals race at Boone (IA) Speedway in 2011. Seymour’s Jerry Wilinski took third, followed by Seymour’s
Mike Mullen and Thursday nights feature winner Jason Czarapata of Pulaski.

Seymour’s Shawn “Lunchbox” Wagner made the rare trip to Luxemburg pay off. The former street stock champion fought off a tenacious Matt Junio of Casco all race long to capture a thrilling, caution
free 25 lap IMCA stock car feature. Junio hung on for second place money. Kewaunee’s Brian Bruechert, Horicon’s Jeremy Christians and Union’s Troy Muench placed third through fifth, respectively.

Defending race winner Eric “Chummy” Arneson of Oconto Falls came out on top of a race long duel for the lead with Luxemburg’s Dennis Miesler to win the IMCA northern sportmod feature.

Miesler took the lead at the drop of the green and kept the lead until lap 15, when Arneson, who started fourth, chased Miesler down and went wheel-to-wheel with the hometown driver right down to the wire. As the white flag was displayed, Miesler’s machine bobbled slightly coming out of turn four, sealing the win for Arneson. Miesler hung on for second in his best finish of the year, followed by Oconto’s
Jeremy Cota, Kewaunee’s Brad Theys and Bonduel’s Greg Wichman.

Denmark’s Tom Brumlic swept action in the IMCA hobby stocks, fighting off Thursday night feature winner Derek Moede of Casco to win the 22 lap IMCA hobby stock feature. Defending track champion Chad Kaminski of Luxemburg took over the division points lead with his sixth place finish, when Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens, the points leader heading into the night, spun on the final lap and finished fourteenth. Derek Moede took second, while Frank Paul finished third after qualifying into the main event from the semi feature.

(LUXEMBURG, WI) June 24 — Former IMCA stock car champion Jason Czarapata of Pulaski made a triumphant return to Luxemburg Speedway in his IMCA modified Thursday night. Czarapata passed Luxemburg’s Jared Siefert on lap six for the lead and went on to win on night number one of the Badger State Showdown presented by CZ’s Bushville Lanes in Denmark.

Union’s Troy Muench won his third straight, 22 lap IMCA stock car feature.

A total of 114 cars signed in to do battle, including 30 IMCA modifieds, 38 stock cars, 26 northern sportmods and 20 hobby stocks.

In the IMCA modified feature Siefert bolted into the lead from his outside front row starting spot and kept the top spot for the first five laps. Czarapata, who started third in the field, pressured Siefert on the next lap. Czarapata distanced himself from the balance of the field and captured the win. New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore slipped past Siefert for second with seven laps to go. Siefert took third, followed by Green Bay’s Tim Van De Hei, and Appleton’s Brandon Czarapata.

Muench fought off Oconto’s Dustin Loberger and Green Bay’s John Heinz in the waning laps to collect the IMCA stock car win. Seymour’s Shawn Wagner and Kewaunee’s Greg Gretz took fourth and fifth, respectively.

Kewaunee’s Brad Theys passed Bonduel’s Greg Wichman for the lead with six laps remaining and went on to win the 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature.

A six car pileup ensued on the frontstretch on lap four, which took out New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach and last week’s feature winner Tracy Wassenberg of Shawano. Wichman hung on for second place,
followed by Oconto’s Travis Cain, Oconto’s Jeremy Cota and De Pere’s Johnny Whitman.

Algoma’s Marcus Moede swept action in the IMCA hobby stock class, winning his heat and beating Denmark’s Tom Brumlic and his brother Derek Moede of Casco to the line to win the 20 lap main. Luxemburg’s Chad Kaminski and Sturgeon Bay’s Brandon Peterson placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

(LUXEMBURG, WI) June 18 — Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse passed Sturgeon Bay’s Billy LeMieux on lap 18 and went on to capture the 25 lap IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night, his second straight feature here of the year.

A total of 124 cars signed in to do battle, including 24 IMCA modifeds, 29 stock cars, 31 northern sportmods, 25 hobby stocks and 15 sport fours.

LeMieux paced the opening six circuits of the 25 lap IMCA modified feature until a caution flew for a Marcus Yarie spin. When racing resumed Lacrosse began pressuring Mishicot’s Kyle Kudick for the second spot. Meanwhile, LeMieux kept all foes at bay until the halfway point, when LaCrosse wrestled second away from Kudick and began reeling LeMieux in.

The former national champion went door-to-door with LeMieux for the next several laps as the pair traded the lead. With seven laps to go LaCrosse put the hammer down, stretching his lead and taking the win. Green Bay’s Jared Siefert slipped inside of LeMieux to take second, followed by Kudick, LeMieux and Algoma’s Todd Dart. New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore placed sixth, after starting deep in the field after qualifying into the main event by winning the semi-feature.

Shawano’s Tracy Wassenberg made a rare appearance at Luxemburg pay off as he fought off a hard charging Johnny Whitman of De Pere to capture his first, 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature. Whitman took second, followed by Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz, Luxemburg’s Scott Boulanger and Pulaski’s Andy Kleckza.

Union’s Troy Muench muscled his way past leader Brian Bruechert of Kewaunee with three laps to go to win the 22 lap IMCA stock car feature. Gillett’s Kyle Frederick took second, followed by Bruechert, rookie Justin Jacobsen of Hortonville and Green Bay’s John Heinz.

There was no brotherly love lost in the IMCA hobby stock feature, as Casco’s Derek Moede beat his brother Marcus Moede of Algoma in a photo finish. Defending track champion Chad Kaminski of Luxemburg took third, followed by Sturgeon Bay’s Brandon Peterson and Luxemburg’s Frank Paul.

The sport four feature was red flagged when Alex Lepak of Pulaski collided with Oconto Falls’ Brian Johnson on the frontstretch, with Johnson ending up flipping on his roof. Both drivers emerged unhurt and Oconto’s Ralph Liegeois Jr. won the 15 lap contest, sweeping the class for the night.

Next week Thursday June 24 and Friday June 25 the 5th annual Badger State Showdown presented by CZ’s Bushville Lanes will take place. More than $30,000 in prize money will be doled out the drivers in the IMCA modified, stock car, northern sport mod and hobby stock classes.
