(Luxemburg, WI) Sept. 17 — Pulaski’s Jason Czarapata fended off New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore to capture the modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Saturday night during night two of the 8th annual Tisler Salvage Fall Classic.

208 cars turned up to compete in the seven division program.

Czarapata started fifth on the grid and passed early leader Mike Wedelstadt by lap seven. Czarapata, the Shawano Speedway track champion in 2011, kept the lead through a pair of cautions to hold on to the win. New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore, who fought his way into the main through a last chance race, took second. Fremont’s Mike Wedelstadt took third, followed by Pulaski veteran Brad Rohloff and De Pere’s Jay Matthias.

Algoma’s Shawn Havel won the stock car main the hard way. Havel netted the win by passing long time race leader Brandon Czarapata on the final lap. Havel earned a starting spot in the main by placing second in the last chance qualifier earlier. Czarapata took second, followed by Troy Muench of Union, hometown driver Dave De Grave and Pulaski’s Mike Coel.

Kewaunee’s Brad Theys survived a mid race caution and went on to win the sportmod feature. Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz, Luxemburg’s Dennis Miesler, Green Bay’s Eric Mahlik and Shawano’s Cody Hudson placed second through fifth, respectively.

Malone’s Tim Warner parlayed a last lap pass into a Grand National feature win, skating around Plymouth’s Brian Cesar on the final circuit for the victory. Cesar, Milwaukee’s Don Sorce, Random Lake’s Loren Lubach and Two Rivers’ Brett Wenzel rounded out the top five.

Tigerton veteran battled Greenville’s Danny Gracyalny down the wire, winning the street stock feature. Gracyalny settled for second, followed by hometown driver George Paul, Krakow’s Bob Czarapata and Francis Creek’s Kraig Koehler.

New Franken’s Ben Kroll, guest driving Marcus Moede’s championship hobby stock car, fought off Kewaunee’s Eugene Gregorich in the final laps to win the hobby stock feature. Gregorich took second, followed by Denmark’s Tom Brumlic, Luxemburg’s Mitch Vandermause and Sturgeon Bay’s Brandon Peterson.

Oconto Falls Brian Johnson won the sport four feature.

200 race teams packed the pits for the first night’s events, featuring qualifying heats for Saturday night’s features, as well as qualifications and the ROC headliners.

In the Modified division, Jerovetz out-dueled Tim Czarneski at the drop of the green, then pulled away to a comfortable margin en route to his ROC victory. Czarneski settled for second, chased to the line by a hard charging Jay Matthias. Matthias captured the podium finish despite starting last in the field of 12.

Muench worked past Dave DeGrave for the lead on the 5th lap of the Stock Car ROC feature, then held off Brian Ambrosius for the final two-thirds of the event.

The ROC fields were made up of racers who were, or had been, track champions in their respective divisions, as well as feature winners in the class during the 2011 racing season.

Last chance qualifiers in all divisions will open the show Saturday night, followed by the main events for all seven classes. Pits will open at 3:00, with the grandstand gate opening at 4:15. The first LCQ will take to the clay at 5:30.

(Luxemburg, WI) August 26 – Russ Scheffler would hold off a hard charging AJ Diemel to take home the win in the Late Model feature at Luxemburg Speedway. Other feature winners were Marcus Yarie (IMCA Modified), Troy Muench (IMCA Stock Car), Brad Lautenbach (IMCA Sport Mod), Eugene Gregorich Jr., (IMCA Hobby Stock) and Dan Van Pay (Four-Cylinders).

Russ Scheffler would pace the opening laps in the Late Model feature from his front row starting spot. AJ Diemel would quickly charge from row 6 to second in just 7 laps. A pair of cautions on lap 8 would keep the field tightly bunched. On the restart Diemel would work to the low side and take the lead. Scheffler would come right back a lap later and retake the lead. Scheffler would then slowly pull away from the pack.

With the top two checked out the battle would be for third between Nick Anvelink and Pete Parker. Parker would get the best of that battle as Anvelink’s machine would pop the cushion out of turn 2 and he would then take his car right to the pits ending his night. With 10 laps remaining Scheffler would encounter lap traffic and allow Diemel to close in. With 5 laps remaining Diemel would pull even with Scheffler as they raced through lap traffic. Scheffler would slow his pace and stay along side the lapper, not allowing any room for Diemel to get by. As the white flew Scheffler would climb back in the throttle, Diemel would give it one last try out of 4 but it wouldn’t be enough as Scheffler would win the 30 lap main event. Diemel would have to settle for second, Ron Berna would place a solid third with Pete Parker fourth and Eric Pember taking home fifth.

Marcus Yarie would lead every lap on his way to picking up the IMCA Modified feature.

Marcus Yarie would use his pole position to set sail early the main. Kyle Lentz would make quick work of his competitors and work to second in just a handful of laps from row 4. Point leader Benji LaCrosse would also make quick work racing into the top 5 battling with Jared Seifert and Jay Matthias. As the laps wound down Shawn Kilgore’s machine would find some bite up top and he would work past LaCrosse for third. With 5 laps remaining Lentz began to close in on Yarie. But their wouldn’t be enough time and Yarie would win the caution free event, his 2nd of the season. Lentz would place a solid second followed by Kilgore, LaCrosse and Matthias. By virtue of his fourth place finish LaCrosse clinches the 2011Modified crown.

Defending IMCA Stock Car Champion Troy Muench picked up his first feature win of the season.

Tony Bouche and Kyle Fredrick would do battle early for the lead in the Stock Car feature. Fredrick would be piloting the machine of Jon Courchaine as he worked to the lead on lap 2. It would only take Troy Muench a handful of laps to charge from row 6 to second. With Fredrick working the cushion Muench would take to the low groove and close in on the leader. A caution on lap 7 would bring the rest of the field on Fredrick’s rear bumper.

Muench would make the best of the restart and take the lead. Fredrick would encounter mechanical problems sending his racer to the pits. Point leader Larry Karcz Jr. and Dustin Loberger would wage a physical battle for the second spot with Karcz taking the spot but he wouldn’t get a chance to challenge Muench who cruised to the checkers. With Karcz taking second he holds a 20 point lead over Munch heading into the final night. Loberger placed third, fourth for Charlie Kroll and Scott Stewart rounded out the top five.

Brad Lautenbach would take over the points lead with his 4th feature win of the season in the IMCA Sport Mods.

Rob Charapata would jump from his pole position and set the pace early in the Sport Mod feature. Brad Lautenbach would slice through the field moving to second before the midway point. Lautenbach would close in on the leader and head for the lead but the caution would fly on lap 12 stalling his charge. Once the race restarted Dennis Miesler would work to the outside of Charapata and Lautenbach dove low taking the lead a lap later. Lautenbach would pull away with a dominating performance and take home the win followed by Miesler, Brian Bruechert and Brad Theys would both make a late race charge from row 7, with Charapata taking fifth.

With Eric Arneson finishing outside the top 10, Lautenbach would take over the point lead, holding a 4 point edge over Arneson heading into the final night.

Eugene Gregorich Jr. would make it 2 in a row winning the IMCA Hobby Stock feature.

Carl Slack and Dave Schmidt would do battle for the lead with Schmidt pulling out to a sizable lead by lap 5 in the Hobby Stock feature. Eugene Gregorich Jr. would charge from row 6 and would work to second midway through the contest. The red flag would fly at the midway point as rookie Cory Cotter would make heavy contact with front stretch wall. Cotter would emerge unscathed but his racer would need two wreckers to be removed from the racing surface.

On the restart Gregorich would make the pass for the lead and survive a late restart to win his third feature of the season. Point leader Marcus Moede would place second, brother Derek Moede third, State point leader Tom Brumlic would place fourth and Wes Salentine would have another strong run placing fifth.

Marcus now holds a 5 point edge over Brumlic and an 8 point lead over brother Derek.

Dan Van Pay would lead every lap capturing his first feature win of the season in the Sport 4′s.

Tri County Heating will host Championship night next Friday September 2. Champions will be crowned in all 5 divisions, racing kicks off at 7PM.

(Luxemburg, WI) August 20 – Danny Deau would lead every lap on his way to his first feature win of the season in the IMCA Modifieds at Luxemburg Speedway. Other feature winners were Brandon Czarapata (stock car), Mark Joski (sport mod), Eugene Gregorich Jr. (hobby stock), and Ralph Liegeois Jr. (four-cylinders).

Danny Deau would quickly pulled to an early lead from his front row starting spot. Chad Bartel would give chase working the low groove on Deau’s Ford powered machine. Deau would find a bit more speed running the cushion and would edge away from Bartel. Wisconsin State point leader Lance Arneson would charge from his 7th place starting spot and do battle with RM Van Pay and Kyle Kudick for 3rd. Arneson would win that battle, then rocketed past Bartel midway though the contest.

By then Deau worked to a full straightaway advantage. Arneson would slowly chop away at Deau’s lead but when the checkers flew Deau would take home the win in the caution free event, Deau also scored a clean sweep after winning his heat race earlier in the evening. Arneson came home a strong second followed by Van Pay, Kudick and Bartel.

Brandon Czarapata would take the lead away from Eric Malfroid and go on to win his 4th feature of the season in the IMCA Stock Cars.

Eric Malfroid would use his front row starting spot to take the lead early the contest. Maifroid would come under heavy pressure from Casey Groessl down low with Tony Bouche working the top side. With Malfroid solidly holding the low groove this allowed Brandon Czarapata to close in on the lead trio. Czarapata would march from row 4 working three wide through pack until he was door to door with Malfroid. As lap 8 went in the books Czarapata would the lead.

Charlie Kroll would move past Groessl and Malfroid and power into 2nd. Kroll would give chase but it wouldn’t be enough as Czarapata took home the victory in the caution free feature. Czarapata would score a clean sweep. Consi winner Dustin Loberger would drive through the field and take home third, Rod Snellenberger and last weeks winner Devin Snellenberger would round out the top 5.

Mark Joski would lead every lap and become the 10th different winner in the IMCA Sport Mods.

Mark Joski took off from the front row and jumped right the high side and quickly built up a huge lead. Last week’s winner Tyler Hackett was quickly challenged by Ryan LeMieux for the 2nd spot. LeMieux would begin to work the low groove trying to chase down Joski. As the race progressed Joski would continue to run the cushion and pull away. The top 3 separated themselves from the rest of the pack as the laps clicked away. A lone caution would set up a 6 lap dash for the win. Joski’s insurmountable lead would be wiped away.

As the green dropped Joski would again head right back the top side and power away from the field leaving the battle for second as he cruised to his first feature win of the season. Andy Kleczka would make a late race charge to second and was followed to the checkers by LeMieux, Hackett and Brian Bruechert.

Eugene Gregorich Jr. would drive from 18th to pick up his second feature of the season in the IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Rick Lumaye who was fresh off a feature win last Saturday at Thunderhill Raceway quickly worked past Tyler Dorn and began to pull away from the rest of the field. Lumaye had the win in hand until a caution would fly, setting up an 8 lap dash to the checker. George Paul would use the restart to his advantage and slide by Lumaye for the top spot. Eugene Gregorich Jr. would use the high groove and pull even with Paul. It would only take 13 laps for Gregorich to come from row 9 to the lead and cruise to victory. Paul would take second holding off point leader Marcus Moede, State point leader Tom Brumlic would place fourth with Wes Salentine rounding out the top 5.

Point leader Ralph Liegeois Jr. would take the lead away from Brian Johnson with 5 laps remaining and go on to pick up his 6th feature of the season in the Sport Fours. Liegeois also scored a clean sweep.

Racing resumes next Friday night, August 26 at 7 p.m. Toccata Gaming will be the nights sponsor which will feature the return of the Late Models . (Luxemburg, WI) August 12 — Marcus Yarie made the trip from his hometown Wausau pay off. The second year IMCA modified driver beat out hometown driver Chris Derenne to capture the 25 lap IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night. The win was Yarie’s first here in a modified. He won a main event in a sportmods two years ago.

109 Cars turned up to compete, including 22 IMCA modifieds, 29 stock cars, 29 northern sportmods, 15 hobby stocks and 14 sport fours.

Yarie and Derenne began swapping the lead as soon as the green flag flew, and the pair kept it going throughout the contest, despite a pair of cautions which tightened the field. In the final five laps Derenne stayed high with Yarie down low, and Yarie wound up victorious in a photo finish. Derenne posted second in his best finish of the year. Hometown driver Benji LaCrosse, fresh off his $6,500 win of the “Night of 1,000 Stars” in Britt, Iowa took third. Algoma drivers James Lee Tebon and Shawn Havel took fourth and fifth, respectively.

Pulaski’s Devin Snellenberger passed Troy Muench of Union for the lead on a lap eleven restart and cruised to victory in the IMCA stock car feature. Muench, the defending track champion wound up second. Dave De Grave of Luxemburg took third followed by Wausau visitor Mitchell Stankowski and Pulaski’s Junior Karcz who took fourth and fifth, respectively. Karcz had battled his way into the main by winning the last chance qualifier.

Algoma’s Tyler Hackett fended off Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz to win the IMCA northern sportmods feature. Jerovetz settled for second, followed by Eric Arneson of Oconto Falls, Luxemburg’s Chris Budzban and Suamico’s Josh Long.

Menominee Falls Doug Engelking netted his first career IMCA hobby stock feature. Engelking also captured his heat race, scoring a sweep for the night.

Oconto’s Ralph Liegois Jr. swept action in the sport four division, winning his heat and his fifth feature of the season.

(Luxemburg, WI) August 5 — De Pere’s Johnny “Hitman” Whitman passed Oconto Falls’ Lance Arneson for the lead with five laps to go to win the IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.

120 Cars turned up to compete, including 28 IMCA modifieds, 25 stock cars, 36 northern sportmods, 17 hobby stocks, nine street stocks and 14 sport fours.

Whitman started eighth in the field and began picking off a car every few laps until he reached second by lap 12. Whitman began working on the leader Arneson and ducked underneath him for the lead on lap 15. Whitman held on to post his second feature flag here of the season. Arneson took second, followed by hometown driver Dave Zeitler, Seymour’s Brian Mullen and Green Bay’s Benji LaCrosse.

New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach passed Abrams’ Scott Boyea for the lead on lap seven and survived two cautions and went on to win his third IMCA northern sportmod feature here of the year. With the win Lautenbach took over the points lead. Oconto Falls’ Eric Arneson took the runnerup spot. Kewaunee’s Brian Bruechert, Boyea and Sturgeon Bay’s Randy LeMieux Jr. rounded out the top five finishers.

Hometown driver Dave De Grave swept action in the IMCA stock car class, winning his heat and the feature. Ellisville’s Bob Waechter, Oconto’s Dustin Loberger, Rod Snellenberger of Pulaski and Shawano’s Shawn Wagner rounded out the top five. Wagner charged through the field from 16th after battling his way into the main by winning the last chance race.

Greenville’s Danny Gracyalny passed Brillion’s Randy Rahn for the lead with three laps to go to win the street stock feature. Rahn settled for second, followed by Kewaunee’s Ed Anschutz, Freedom’s Travis Springstroh and Green Bay’s Nick Everard.

Springstroh charged from 8th to 4th and was awarded the $50 Webmaster Chewy Hard Charger award.

Amherst’s Eugene Gregorich Jr. kept Denmark’s Tom Brumlic at bay long enough to win the IMCA hobby stock feature. Brumlic settled for second, followed by Casco’s Derek Moede, who was forced to pit early in the race after crashing with another car, Mishicot’s Dean Anhalt and Luxemburg’s Marcus Moede.

Denmark’s Jay Welsing won the sport four feature.

At intermission former drivers Bill Rohr of Kewaunee, Casco’s Reggie Cochart and the late Wally Massart a former car owner, were inducted into the Luxemburg Speedway Hall of Fame.

(Luxemburg, WI) July 29 — Denmark’s RM Van Pay fended off current points leader Benji LaCrosse of Green Bay to capture the IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night. The win was Van Pay’s first in four years here.

118 Cars turned up to compete, including 25 IMCA modifieds, 28 stock cars,33 northern sportmods, 19 hobby stocks and 13 sport fours.

Van Pay started sixth and worked his way into third after three cautions flew in the first six laps. Polesitter Cory Cochart of Kewaunee maintained the lead through the first ten circuits until Van Pay whisked past for the lead on lap 11.

LaCrosse, who started 12th, moved to second on lap 14 and switched from the bottom groove to the high line and began chasing down Van Pay. With two laps to go the lead duo were nearly dead even twice. As the checkers flew Van Pay brought the crowd to it’s feet with a photo finish victory. LaCrosse padded his points lead with his second place finish. Algoma’s James Lee Tebon took third, followed by second place points driver Jay Matthias of De Pere, and Shiocton’s Chad Bartel rounding out the top five.

Appleton’s Brandon Czarapata collected his third IMCA stock car feature of the year, fighting off hometown driver Dave De Grave in a caution filled event. Czarapata passed De Grave for the lead with two laps remaining and hung on for the win. De Grave took second, followed by Shawano’s Shawn Wagner, Oconto Falls Kyle Frederick and Oconto’s Dustin Loberger.

New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach netted a photo finish victory in the IMCA northern sportmods feature over Pulaski’s JJ Anderson. The win was Lautenbach’s second of the season at Luxemburg. Brothers Mike and Mark Joski took third and fourth, respectively. Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz rounded out the top five finishers.

Hometown driver Marcus Moede captured the caution free IMCA hobby stock feature, beating New Franken’s Jason Vandenhouten at the line for the win. The victory was Moede’s fourth of the year. Vandenhouten took second, followed by Marcus’ brother Derek Moede of Casco, hometown driver Tyler “Flip” Dorn and Luxemburg’s George Paul.

Oconto’s Jessica Liegois captured her first career sport four feature.

(Luxemburg, WI) July 15 – Dancin’ Lance Arneson passed RM Van Pay with two laps remaining to capture his first checker of the season at Luxemburg Speedway. Other feature winners were Brandon Czarapata (IMCA Stock Cars), Andy Kleczka (IMCA Sport Mod), Derek Moede (IMCA Hobby Stock), and Justin Vannieuwenhoven (Four-Cylinders).

Former champion RM Van Pay would jump from his front row starting spot using the high side leading the first 11 laps. Point leader Benji Lacrosse would charge from row 6 to take the lead away on lap 12 and quickly pulled out to a huge lead and looked to be well on his way to win another feature win, but one lap later would suffer a mechanical failure sending his machine to the pits handing the lead back to Van Pay. Dan Ratajczak and state point leader Lance Arneson would begin slowly to reel in Van Pay. Arneson would take second and begin to challenge Van Pay for the lead. Arneson using the low groove and Van Pay on top. With just 2 laps remaining Arneson would sneak by down low and make the pass taking home his first win of the season. Van Pay would place a season best second followed by Ratajczak Brian Mullen and Rookie Johnny Whitman.

Brandon Czarapata would pass Mike Pierrard midway through the IMCA Stock Car feature to take home his second feature win of the season.

Mike Pierrard would wrestle the lead away from Jeremy Jacquet on lap 3. Pierrard would quickly be challenged by Greg Gretz and Shawn Wagner. The trio would go three wide for the lead just as the caution would fly. The caution was exactly what Brandon Czarapata need as he worked by Pierrard using the middle groove. Czarapata would go the rest of the contest unchallenged taking home the clean sweep winning his heat race as well. Gretz would come home a strong second with Wagner taking third, defending champion Troy Muench and Ben Kroll rounded out the top five.

Andy Kleczka would make a last lap pass on Mike Joski to become the first repeat winner in nine weeks in the IMCA Sport Mods.

Kurt Moeller would lead opening circuits before Mike Joski took over the lead on lap 6. A caution early in the event would send points leader Troy Jerovetz down pit lane where his racer would sit the remainder of the contest. Joski would continue to lead using the high groove. With one lap remaining Andy Kleczka would surprise Joski working to the inside for the lead. Joski would give it a hard run up top but it wouldn’t be enough as Kleczka took home the win his second of the season. Joski would finish a season high second followed by Kurt Moeller, Brian Bruechert and Tracy Wassenberg.

Derek Moede would outlast point leader Tom Brumlic to take home his second feature win in a row and third of the season in the IMCA Hobby Stocks. Travis Hackett would placed third followed by George Paul and Marcus Moede. The win also netted Derek a clean sweep.

Justin Vannieuwenhoven took home his second feature win of the season in the Sport Fours.

(Luxemburg, WI) July 8 — Sobieski’s Sean Jerovetz passed Green Bay’s Kyle Lentz for the lead on lap 11 and went on to capture the caution free, 25 lap IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.

127 Cars turned up to compete, including 24 IMCA modifieds, 29 stock cars, 34 northern sportmods, 17 hobby stocks and 15 sport fours.

Jerovetz hustled to a full straightaway lead when the checkers flew. Algoma’s James Lee Tebon placed second in his strongest performance of the year. De Pere’s Jay Matthias muscled inside of Green Bay’s Kyle Lentz to take third at the checkers. Lentz took fourth with Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse taking fifth.

Pulaski’s Junior Karcz passed Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger for the lead on lap 10 and went on to win the IMCA stock car feature.

The IMCA stock car feature got off to a rough start with two cautions in the first four laps. Algoma’s Tony Bouche kept the lead until a lap four yellow flew. Scott Stewart of Oconto received a black flag for rough driving after making contact with Bouche while battling for the lead.

When racing resumed Pulaski’s Snellenberger moved through the field from 10th to second by lap 8. Snellenberger drove around the Algoma veteran for the lead on lap nine. Another caution flew one circuit later. When racing resumed Pulaski’s Karcz ducked underneath Snellenberger to take the lead. Karcz cruised to victory, followed by Snellenberger, Union’s Troy Muench, Shawano’s Shawn Wagner and Bouche.

For the eighth straight week we’ve had a new winner in victory lane in the IMCA northern sportmods. This week it was Pulaski’s JJ Anderson’s turn, as the driver led wire-to-wire in the 20 lap contest.
Hometown driver Dennis Miesler posted his best finish of the year with a second. Suamico’s Brandon Long, De Pere’s Troy De Grave and Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz rounded out the top five.

Casco’s Derek Moede swept action in the IMCA hobby stocks. The thrilling feature so no less than three different leaders in the final seven laps as DerekMoede traded the top spot with his brother Marcus Moede and Kewaunee’s Eugene Gregorich Jr. Gregorich settled for second at the line, followed by Derek Moede, points leader Tom Brumlic of Denmark and hometown driver George Paul.

Greenville’s Danny Gracyalny swept action in the street stock class, winning both his heat and the caution free feature event. Brillion’s Randy Rahn placed second, followed by Tigerton visitor Gary Kasparek, Kewaunee’s Ed Anschutz and Sugar Bush veteran Fred Davister.

Oconto’s Ralph Liegois Jr. won his fourth sport four feature en route to a clean sweep.

(HOMETOWN DRIVER WINS HIS FOURTH MAIN OF THE YEAR HERE)

(Luxemburg, WI) July 1 — Hometown driver Benji LaCrosse charged from last place into first on the final lap and went on to capture the 25 lap IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night. The win was LaCrosse’s fourth of the year here.

99 Cars turned up to compete, including 19 IMCA modifieds, 22 stock cars, 30 northern sportmods, 15 hobby stocks and 13 sport fours.

Initially it appeared to be a repeat of last week’s main, as Shiocton’s Chad Bartel appeared headed for yet another victory. Bartel stretched out a full straightaway lead, while LaCrosse methodically worked his way through the field from 18th, riding the high line up into 10th by lap 9. LaCrosse made it up to third by lap 15 and began reeling in Bartel. LaCrosse motored around Bartel as the white flag was displayed, and LaCrosse went on to win. Bartel hung on for second, followed by De Pere’s Johnny Whitman, De Pere’s Jay Matthias and New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore.

The IMCA stock car main lived up to it’s reputation as the class “too tough to tame.” Appleton’s Brandon Czarapata passed Luxemburg’s Eric Malfroid for the lead on a lap five restart and went on to win his first feature here of the year. The win was anything but a gimme, as he fought off Ellisville’s Bob Waechter and Pulaski’s Junior Karcz, who were bunched up on his tail following a restart with two laps to go. Czarapata hung on for the win. Waechter took second, with Karcz marching through the field from 21st to take third. Defending track champion Troy Muench took fourth with Kewaunee’s Luke Lemmens driving his rebuilt race car from a wreck a week ago into a top five finish.

Suamico’s Josh Long fought off last week’s winner Troy De Grave of De Pere and Oconto Falls Eric Arneson to win his first IMCA northern sportmod feature of the year. De Grave and Arneson took second and third, respectively. New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach and Kewaunee’s Brad Theys rounded out the top five.

Luxemburg’s Marcus Moede nipped his brother Derek Moede of Casco at the line to take his third IMCA hobby stock feature of the season. Derek settled for runnerup honors, followed by points leader Tom Brumlic of Denmark, Menominee Falls Doug Engelking and Luxemburg’s George Paul.

Oconto’s Ralph Liegois Jr. scored a last lap win, his third of the season in the Sport 4 division.

Racing resumes next Friday night, July 9 at 7 p.m. Pro Label sponsors the night’s racing. Big wheel races for the kids will take place.
