(Luxemburg, WI) – A purse totalling $25,000 will be doled out to drivers in four IMCA sanctioned classes during the running of the fourth annual Badger State Showdown at Luxemburg Speedway presented by CZ’s Bushville Lanes and Pro Label Inc. Thursday June 25 and Friday June 26.

Highlighting the action will be a $1,300-to-win IMCA modified feature on Friday night. The winner of that contest will be a qualifer for the Fastshaft All-Star Invitational race ballot for the IMCA Supernationals in Boone, Iowa in September. Green Bay’s Benji LaCrosse, a former track, state, regional and national champion, is the defending race winner and will be in action both days, with an estimated field of nearly 40 modifieds.

IMCA stock cars will scrap for a $900 top prize on Friday night, as Kewaunee’s Brian Bruechert will defend his race title from a year ago against a projected stout field of 40 or more of the Midwest’s toughest competitors.

As this goes to press it remains to be seen if Suamico’s Adam White will defend his IMCA northern sportmod race title or not. White’s efforts as of late have been on the pavement so it could be very well be a new champion who collects the $600 top prize on Friday night. More than 30 cars in this class are expected.

Casco’s Marcus Moede will defend his race title in the IMCA hobby stock class, and step to the plate to battle for the $500 top prize on Friday night, with a field of 20+ likely for both days.

Two complete programs will be run each night. Several contingency prizes will be doled out to drivers from race part manufacturers and sponsors.
