LUXEMBURG SPEEDWAY OFF JULY 22 – RACING RETURNS JULY 29
(Luxemburg, WI) July 18 – The roar of racing engines will be absent at Luxemburg Speedway on July 22 as there will be no racing due to the Kewaunee County Fair. Weekly racing will resume Friday, July 29 at 7 p.m. for Badgerland Concrete driver autograph night.
On July 15 a near capacity crowd was on hand for the widely popular “Trailer Race of Destruction” which was won by Green Bay’s Nick Mahlik. The event helped raise money for Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness.
As we head into the bye week former track champion and Luxemburg native Benji LaCrosse holds a commanding 27 point lead over De Pere’s Jay Matthias in the Budweiser IMCA modified division.
In the Badgerland Concrete IMCA stock cars Pulaski’s Junior Karcz holds a 15 point advantage over defending track champion Troy Muench of Union. Green Bay’s Troy Jerovetz holds a six point edge over New Franken’s Brad Lautenbach in the Tri County Heating IMCA northern sportmods. Denmark’s Tom Brumlic has a slim two point lead over Luxemburg’s Marcus Moede in the Pepsi IMCA hobby stocks.
Oconto’s Ralph Liegois Jr. has an eight point lead over Oconto Falls’ Brian Johnson in the Tisler Salvage Sport fours.
