57 cars show up for Luxemburg Practice

(Luxemburg, WI)- 57 drivers showed up to test the Luxemburg Speedway for the first time in 2012. 7 divisions were represented including the IMCA Modified, IMCA Stockcars, IMCA Northern Sportmods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Late Models, Street Stocks and 4 cylinders.
The track held up very well throughout the night and many drivers had compliments toward the track. Luxemburg Speedway promoter Gene Mathu stated, “We are very happy with the night and the drivers, pit crews and fans who came out. We will definitely work out some of the small details that we found. We are excited to get going next Friday night.”
Many compliments toward the new pits were also being talked about. The track’s pits were moved from the east side to the west side of the speedway during the off-season.
Next Friday Night May 4th, the season kicks off at Luxemburg Speedway. McDonald’s and The BP gas station will be sponsoring opening night. Racing will get underway at 7 p.m. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stockcars, IMCA Northern Sportmods, IMCA Hobby Stocks and 4 Cylinders will be in action.
