Season Opener at Luxemburg Speedway Friday May 4th

(Luxemburg, WI)- This Friday Night May 4th will be the season opener at Luxemburg Speedway. This week’s races will be sponsored by McDonald’s and BP gas station, both of Luxemburg. The Pits will be opening at 4 p.m. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m. The five regular divisions will be in action. Chicken Booyah will be sold as a special for the opener.

Ticket Prices for regular night’s are as follows: Adults- $9, Seniors $7, Students (11-15) $5 and 10 and under free with a paid adult.

Benji LaCrosse will be back to defend his IMCA Modified crown. LaCrosse took the championship in 2011 after a five year hiatus from the top spot. LaCrosse won the title by 50 points over James Tebon. Kewaunee County Tavern League will sponsor the division.

Larry Karcz Jr earned his first career Luxemburg Speedway IMCA Stockcar title in 2011. Karcz grabbed the title over 2010 champion Troy Muench by 20 points. Olson Fabrication is the 2012 sponsor in the IMCA Stockcars.

Brad Lautenbach scored the first of his three IMCA Northern Sportmod Championships in northeast Wisconsin in 2011 at Luxemburg Speedway. Lautenbach outran Eric Arneson by 3 points. Tri-County Heating will headline the IMCA Northern Sportmods.

Marcus Moede won his first career track championship in the IMCA Hobby Stock class last season. Moede won the title by 5 points over 2012’s front runner Tom Brumlic. Moede will be running for the rookie of the year title in the IMCA Stockcars. The Todd Wiese Home Selling team is the sponsor for the IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Ralph Liegeois Jr, won the 4 Cylinder crown in 2011. He was able to knock off one of the leading 4 cylinder drivers in the area in Brian Johnson by a dominating 28 points.

The Street Stocks will be in action at the speedway for a series of races in 2012. Points will be kept for the three race series. Dan Gracyalny won the 2011 crown.
