2 Points nights left at Luxemburg Speedway

By Greg Aregoni

(Luxemburg, WI)- Only 2 point nights remain in the 2013 Luxemburg Speedway season. While some divisions are in near lock up mode others will be fighting until the checkers fall next week. First, they have to make it through this Friday night, August 23rd. Swamp Archery, Whitetails Plus Taxidermy and Badgerland Concrete will all be sponsoring the show. There will be door prizes at intermission that you will not want to miss a chance at going home with. 3 hunting bows will be raffled off.

In IMCA Modified action, Shawn Kilgore increased his point lead with his feature win last week. It was Shawn’s division leading 3rd win. Todd Dart fell victim to 1 point in the standings for the 3rd week in a row. Kilgore maintains an 18 point advantage with 2 weeks remaining.

Brandon Czarapata has his 2013 IMCA Stockcar championship all but conquered. He could take a night off and still have the point lead. He picked up the feature win last week and increased his point lead to 44 points over John Heinz. Czarapata is the defending champion in the division.

Andy Kleczka gave the crowd their price of admissions worth last week in the IMCA Sportmod feature. Kleczka started 19th and passed Christopher Budzban at the line to pick up his 2nd win of the season. He still trails Josh long by 22 points.

In the closest battle of all divisions, the IMCA Hobby Stocks have 2 weeks to settle the score. No matter which way the cookie crumbles there will be a 1st time champion. Derek Moede goes into Friday night with only a 1 point advantage over both Sawyer Haese and Dan Van Pay. Scott Boulanger won last week’s main event.

Keith Kickbusch has a Ted Nugent Stranglehold on the Street Stock competition. Kickbusch won his 7th feature at Luxemburg last week and is in the catbird’s seat to win the title. He owns a 31 point advantage over Marcus Moede.
