BADGER STOCK TOUR HEADS TO LUXEMBURG SPEEDWAY SEPTEMBER 13-14

(Green Bay, WI) Aug. 21 – The next stop for the Iron Horse Sales & Service Badger Stock Tour presented by Kick Ass Drive Train & Iron Horse Recycling will be September 13-14 at Luxemburg Speedway.

The third-mile, clay oval located at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds will host the BST as part of its two day, season-ending special. A 30 lap BST feature will be on tap, with the winner taking home $700. In addition, a $200 bonus will be awarded to a driver through a random draw among those who finish 6th through 24th in the A main.

Heat races will take place on Friday night with last chance qualifiers and the A main taking place Saturday night. To date, four BST events have been held, with current BST points leader “Hot Rod” Snellenberger of Pulaski holding a slim, three point edge of Marion’s Dan Michonski. Hortonville’s Justin Jacobsen sits third, 10 points out of first with the “High Side Hustler” Kyle Frederick of Oconto Falls fourth 24 points out of first. Luxemburg’s Tyler “Wild Child” Smith and Oconto Falls Eric “Chummy” Arneson round out the top five each 25 points out of first.

Snellenberger, a 2010 national champion, snagged a pair of back-to-back BST victories, nailing wins at Thunder Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay and Oshkosh Speedzone July 18 and 19, respectively. In doing so Snellenberger also won the Iron Horse Ironman Challenge. Oconto’s Scott Stewart got the BST kicked off with a thrilling, three wide pass for the win at Seymour July 17 while Smith won the Clash at the Creek V at 141 Speedway on July 24. To date, 53 different drivers have taken part in the BST, with an average car count of just under 40 per event.

There will be no pre entries for this event. A two day pit pass will be $50. Racing will get underway Friday Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. The track’s other weekly divisions will be taking part in the two day special event. The raindate, if needed, will be Sunday Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. For more information call 920 676 5990 or email jverdegan2@new.rr.com. You can follow the BST on Facebook. Check out luxemburgspeedway.com.
