(Luxemburg, WI)- After taking a week off for the fair; Luxemburg Speedway will be back in action with the kid’s getting their chance to take to the clay. Big Wheel races will be held at intermission. Racing gets underway at 7 p.m. with our regular five divisions taking the green flag. Gnome Games and VanDrisse Racing Parts will be co-sponsoring along with Triangle Distributing.

Gnome Games will be on hand with plenty of excitement underneath the grandstands. They will have plenty of board games to take a peak at. They are also bringing Richard Varga “The Balloon Guy”. He will be in and around the grandstands throughout the night making balloon animals.

The last time the IMCA Modifieds took to the clay Jeremy Jacobs ended his winless streak at Luxemburg Speedway. He led wire to wire. Shawn Kilgore continues to show the way in the standings. Kilgore leads Todd Dart by 13 marks.

Dave Bouche won a classic IMCA Stockcar feature two weeks ago over Tom Brumlic and company. Brandon Czarapata is looking for his second straight track title with his commanding lead over Shawn Havel. 28 points is the difference between Czarapata and Havel.

Chris Budzban continues to inch closer to the top spot in the standings in the IMCA Northern Sportmod division. He picked up his second win of the season two weeks ago. Josh Long is in search of his first Luxemburg IMCA Sportmod title as he leads the charge in the standings. Budzban trails veteran Josh Long by 10 in the points column.

Derek Moede is a man on a mission after his opening night rollover in the IMCA Hobby Stocks. Moede has been knocking off feature wins and digging into the point lead since the second night. Moede is looking to capture his first career track title. Wes Salentine, Sawyer Haese and Dan VanPay each trail Moede by 3 points.

Jerry Winkler has finally ended Keith Kickbusch’s undefeated streak in the Street Stock division. Winkler isn’t a regular at the speedway so Kickbusch still padded his point lead with his second place finish. The kicker holds a 22 point advantage over Moede.

Next Friday Night, August 2nd, The kids coin drop will take place at intermission. The Bank of Luxemburg has sponsored the 2013 coin drop.
