Plywood Races at Luxemburg Speedway June 14th

(Luxemburg,WI)- Not sure what the headline means? You and your buddy have to keep a 4×8 piece of plywood on top of your car using only 1 hand each. Sounds simple right?

Friday Night, June 14th Luxemburg Speedway will have their first annual Plywood race. The inaugural race will be capped at 9 vehicles. They will be competing for a top prize of $100. The first 9 people to call Gene or Joe Mathu at 371-1926 this Friday, June 7th will be the participants. There is NO ENTRY FEE.

There are a few rules that will be strictly enforced as there will be a driver’s meeting with all participants the night of the race. All vehicles must have a front seat along with fully working seat belts. Both driver and passenger will be required to wear helmets. There will be absolutely no intentional hitting of the other cars. There will be marks in the middle of the plywood indicating where you can hold onto the plywood. Once the plywood falls off your roof your vehicle is eliminated.

There will be three heats with three vehicles. The first vehicle to either finish five laps or be the last one with the plywood still on their roof will be considered the winner. The three heat winners will then run a five lap feature to determine the first champ and collect an easy $100.
