LaCrosse Wins Dash, Earns Pole in Luxemburg Two Day Special!
September 15, 2006; Luxemburg, WI. -Hometown driver Benji LaCrosse won the 12 lap IMCA style modified dash, earning the pole position for tomorrow night’s $1,500-to-win Fall Classic sponsored by Augie’s Sports Bar and Grill.
LaCrosse also won his heat, earning a sweep for the evening. 170 cars were in attendance, including 32 modifieds, 40 stock cars, 22 hobby stocks, 22 street stocks, 8 grand nationals, 17 eastern 8′s and 26 sport fours. Tonight’s dash finishes will determine the first five or six rows with a straight up start, with the winner of each dash earning the pole positions for tomorrow nights features. In IMCA style stock car action Jeff Vlies of Kewaunee won both the heat and the dash, sweeping action for the evening.
Hometown driver Fred Davister earned his pole position for tomorrow’s street stock feature by winning that division’s dash while Oconto Fall’s Joe White won both his heat and the 12 lap IMCA-style hobby stock dash. In grand national action Sheboygan Falls’ Brian Genske captured the dash while Green Bay’s Lee Kielpikowski won the Fusion class dash. De Pere’s Tim Jorgenson won the sport four dash.
