(Luxemburg, WI)- Lance Arneson, Shawn Havel and Brad Lautenbach have all won numerous features but they all took home their 1st wins of the season at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night. Arneson in the IMCA Modifieds, Havel in the IMCA Stockcars, and Lautenbach in the IMCA Sportmods. Other winners included Scott Boulanger in the IMCA Hobby Stocks and Ralph Liegeois in the 4 Cylinder division.

Chad Bartel jumped from his front row starting spot to the front of the IMCA Modified main event. Bartel rocketed out front to half straightaway lead. Lance Arneson and James Tebon would make their respective ways to second and third. The duo would chase down the leader with 6 laps remaining. Arneson would stay right on the tires with Bartel motoring around on top. Arneson would grab the lead and stay out front to win his first feature at Luxemburg in 2012. Tebon would race to a second place finish. Jason Czarapata would finish third after starting 17th. Jay Matthias would run fourth with Bartel fading at the end to fifth. The feature was caution free.

Greg Gretz jumped out to the lead on the first lap of the IMCA Stockcar feature with Dustin Loberger right behind. Loberger grabbed the lead on the second lap and worked to a comfortable lead. Larry Karcz would make his way to second and start reeling in Loberger. Karcz would catch Loberger and heading into turn 1 contact between the duo would send Loberger spinning bringing out the lone caution. On the restart, Karcz held the lead with Brandon Czarapata running second. The duo ran down low with Czarapata repeatedly trying to pass down low. With the battle for the lead going on, Shawn Havel charged to the outside of the leaders. With two laps to go, Havel found enough bite on top to pass Czarapata for second and then Karcz for the lead. Havel led the final circuit in picking up his first win. Czarapata beat Karcz at the checkers. Ben Kroll picked his way from his 17th starting spot to finish in the top four. Point leader Troy Muench was fifth.

A caution filled IMCA Sportmod main plagued the feature event. Derek Kaye started on the pole and spun twice in the first few laps of the event bringing out a series of cautions. Brandon Tegen also spun twice bringing out cautions in the next few laps. When the race finally resumed the race was already at the time limit with only four laps completed. Chris Budzban charged from a 3 wide battle to take the top spot. Budzban would continue to lead until Brian Bruechert and point leader Brad Lautenbach made their way up front. With Bruechert working the top, Lautenbach mounted a charge on the bottom. Lautenbach would make the pass for the lead on lap 10 and go onto pick up his 1st win of the season. Bruechert would finish in the runner-up position. Chris Budzban finished third with Josh Long and Ryan Lemieux rounding out the top 5.

Frank Dorn used the front row to lead lap one of the IMCA Hobby Stock feature. Dean Anhalt charged to the front on lap 3 to take the lead. Wes Salentine made his way up front with Scott Boulanger and grabbed the top two spots. With Salentine leading, Boulanger worked the bottom of Salentine for the lead. Boulanger would eventually get the lead on lap 10. Boulanger would then cruise to his fifth win of the season. Salentine finished second with Sawyer Haese and Anhalt in the top four. Point leader Tom Brumlic increased his point lead with his fifth place finish.

Brian Johnson charged from 12th to 2nd in the 4 Cylinder feature. Johnson got to the back bumper off point leader Ralph Liegeois at the white flag but couldn’t make the pass for the win. Liegeois picked up points in the chase for the championship. Trent Nolan was third with Dan Van Pay fourth and Michael VerHeyden fifth.
