October 12, 2002; Luxemburg, WI. - Champions in five different divisions will be crowned January 25 as Lakeshore Motorsports Promotions will host it's first ever Luxemburg Speedway awards banquet. The ceremonies will be held Saturday night, January 25 at Rendezvous Pleasure Palace in the town of Neuren, just south of Luxemburg. In addition to track championship trophies being doled in the IMCA modified, IMCA stock car, street stock, sport truck and bomber divisions, rookie-of-the-year awards will also be handed out in four of those divisions. Modified, stock car and street stock drivers who placed in the top ten in the point standings will receive a trophy. Sport truck and bomber drivers who placed in the top five in points will also take home some hardware. "Space may be limited depending upon how many show up, so my advice would be to order the tickets early," said track manager Rick Goral. The deadline for ordering banquet tickets will be January 15. A cash bar is scheduled for 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. Awards presentation will follow. Tickets will be $15.00 per person. From Green Bay it's approximately 11 miles east taking highway V, then go north on N. From Luxemburg go south four miles on county highway AB to N. Then go west on N approximately one mile.
