Luxemburg Races Rained Out!
By Joe Verdegan

July 11, 2003; Luxemburg, WI. - Heavy rains late Thursday night and early Friday morning have forced the cancellation of the stock car races at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.

"Both the pit area and the track received too good of a soaking," said track manager Rick Goral. "You can't fight Mother Nature. We'll try getting the track ready for our big special this Sunday."

This Sunday, July 13 the track will host the Ponderosa/Razor 94.7 FM/Springborn race night   special. It will be the final appearance of the year for the WISSOTA late models. A 40 lap feature is on tap, plus a full IMCA sanctioned national and track points night for the modifieds, stock cars and hobby stocks. Seymour Tri-Oval Raceway is not running that evening and a full field of cars is expected.

The WISSOTA late models of Troy Springborn, Tom Naeyaert and Tim Buhler will be on display under the grandstand prior to racing. A bevy of prizes will be given away as well. Razor 94.7 FM air staff will be broadcasting live from the race track. Racing gets underway Sunday night beginning at 6:30 p.m.
