Rain Washes Out Luxemburg Modified Classic! By Joe Verdegan

July 30, 2003; Luxemburg, WI. -  Heavy late afternoon showers forced the cancellation of the McCoy's Harley Davidson Modified Classic at Luxemburg Speedway Wednesday night. The event will not be rescheduled.

There will be no racing at the track Friday, August 1 due to the Kewaunee County Fair. Weekly racing will resume Friday night, August 8 for the second annual WOGB Oldies 103.1 FM Luxemburg Legends night. More than two dozen local, retired drivers from years past will be honored, and many will take part in a special legends race later that evening. A full program of IMCA modified, stock car, hobby stock and sport fours is on tap.

More than one dozen restored coupes, winged modifieds and sportsman cars will also be on display through the Vintage Modified Stock Car Club.
