February 22, 2003; Luxemburg, WI. - Luxemburg Speedway will host a driver's informational meeting Thursday night, February 27 at 7 p.m. at the Rendezvous Pleasure Palace on County Highway N in the town of Luxemburg. Several items dot the agenda for the evening. Among the more important items is that teams will pick their pit stalls for the season. "We did this opening night last year and quite honestly it's a headache we don't need," said track manager Rick Goral. "Opening nights are busy enough as it is. Each team is reminded to either have an owner or some representative from their team on hand at this meeting to take care of the pit stalls." The pit area has been expanded and redesigned for 2003. Minor release forms will also be given out for those who need them. And, drivers in all divisions can register for the season. IMCA hobby stock and four cylinder sport four drivers will register and sign up for their car numbers as well. An overview of the new and exisiting IMCA and track rules will be covered and driver's information packets will be handed out. Details on the five race street stock series will be explained and the 2003 season schedule will also be released. Rendezvous Pleasure Palace is located four miles south of the race track on County N in the town of Luxemburg. From Green Bay it is approximately 11 miles east taking County Highway V. Then go north on N to the Rendezvous Pleasure Palace. From Luxemburg go south four miles on County AB to County N. Go west on N approximately one mile to Rendezvous Pleasure Palace. The season opens Friday night, April 25 at 7 p.m. IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks and sport fours will compete weekly on Friday nights through Labor day weekend. An open practice for all divisions is slated for Saturday, April 19 from noon to five p.m. A car show will take place behind the grandstand that day from 10 a.m. til noon prior to practice.
