Luxemburg Promoters Prep for First Ever Fall Classic!

September 13, 2004; Luxemburg, WI. - Luxemburg Speedway promoters are busy putting the final touches on the
track's first ever two day Fall Spectacular, highlighted by the raindate of the Battle of The Burg III late model special October 1 and 2 sponsored by Seubert Calf Ranches of Dorchester and Salmon Meats of Luxemburg.

The two day festival will feature six divisions total and two full nights of racing. The Battle of The Burg III will feature late models from the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association (WDLMA) and is the raindate from earlier this summer. The complete late model portion of the show will be run on Friday night. 33 late models attended the last late model special earlier this summer, which waswon by Shawano's Troy Springborn.

On Friday night late models will begin qualifying at 6:15 p.m. with the first race getting underway at 7 p.m. IMCA-style modfieds, stock cars and street stocks will also be running Friday evening. The late models will compete in a 50 lap feature paying $2,000-to-win and $200-to-start with $100 show money.

Friday night will also see qualifying features for the other three divisions for the Saturday night features. Those Saturday main events pay $1,200 to win for the mods, $750 to win for stock cars, $500 to win for street stocks, $350 to win for hobby stocks and $250 to win for sport fours. Hobby stocks and sport fours will compete their entire show Saturday night. Racing on Saturday begins at 5 p.m. Pit area opens at 1 p.m. both days. The raindate for either day will be Sunday, October 3.

With regards to rules, the full WDLMA rules apply for the late models, while IMCA rules (minus the claim rule) will be in effect for the modified and stock car classes. Hobby stocks will include theIMCA-style hobbies, along with 141 Speedway and Chilton Challenger cars with no claim. Sport four rules will include Luxemburg and Seymour-style cars. Other machines are welcome but must at a minimum meet engine, body and safety requirements. No claim in this class as well.

Pit passes for late models are $40 for car and driver. All other divisions and crew members will pay $25 for a one day pass and $45 for a two day pass. Absolutely no four wheelers or golf carts are allowed and no campfires on the midway. Overnight parking on the far west end of the midway is ok. Overnight pit parking is allowed.
