LaCrosse Nips Siefert in IMCA Modified Thriller!

July 29, 2005; Luxemburg, WI. -  Hometown driver Benji LaCrosse led the early going of the 25 lap IMCA modified feature, was passed twice by Green Bay's Jared Siefert. LaCrosse regained the lead on the final lap when he repassed Siefert to pad his points lead with his fourth feature win of the season.

After qualifying into the feature by winning a semi-feature, hometown driver Benji LaCrosse charged from his 17th starting spot and passed Todd Dart for the lead on lap 18 to win his second 25 lap IMCA modified feature of the season at  Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.

Kewaunee's Shawn Kilgore executed a daring, three-wide pass on the final circuit to capture his fourth 22 lap IMCA stock car feature. Forestville's Von Etchenson snatched the lead at the midway point of the 18 lap street stock
feature and never looked back en route to claiming his second victory of the season. Lomira's Jesse Kanas swept action in the IMCA hobby stock division, winning not only his heat but the caution-free 15 lap feature. Sport four points leader Greg Banker of Bonduel won the 15 lap sport four feature.

Next Friday night, August 5 the fourth annual WOGB 103.1 FM Luxemburg Legends night will take place. Former drivers spanning four decades worth of racing will be honored during a ceremony at intermission. Legends races will take place following the regular program. 15 restored coupes and vintage modifieds will be on display courtesy of the Vintage Modified Stock Car Club of Milwaukee.
