IMCA SUPERNATIONALS CHAMPION LA CROSSE TO BE HONORED AT HIS HOMETRACK
By Joe Verdegan

September 13, 2005; Luxemburg, WI. - A ceremony honoring the 2005 IMCA Supernational modified champion Benji LaCrosse will take place on Saturday night, October 1 during the two day Fall Classic at Luxemburg Speedway
presented by Pepsi and Budweiser.

LaCrosse, from Luxemburg, was also the track's 2005 champion. Earlier this month LaCrosse made history by becoming the first ever Wisconsin driver to capture the prestigious Supernationals title down in Boone, Iowa. "We're proud to honor Benji during a trackside ceremony at intermission," said track manager Rick Goral. "What he did at Boone was simply incredible. We're pretty lucky to have our own track champion, who's also a hometown heroe, be known as one of the top modified drivers in the nation."

LaCrosse's giant six foot tall trophy he won will be on display under the grandstand Saturday night. His massive victory flag and winner's check totalling $2,000 will also be shown off for the fans. LaCrosse will also sign autographs. "It's going to be a lot of fun that night, no doubt," said LaCrosse, who plans on racing that night in his Tri-County Heating/DeGroot Construction sponsored number 54. "Without a doubt Luxemburg Speedway has the toughest competition for a weekly show anywhere in Wisconsin when it comes to modifieds. It's that tough competition every Friday night that helped prepare me to win the big one down in Iowa."

Racing starts Friday night at 6:30 p.m. with racing getting underway at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday night. Hot laps will be run both nights approximately 45 minutes to one hour prior to race time. The grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.

Luxemburg Speedway is located 15 minutes east of Green Bay off highway 54 at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds. For more information call 920 863 8446. The track phone is 920 845 2300. The track website is www.luxemburgspeedway.com.
