LaCrosse Lands Second
Luxemburg IMCA Mod Feature Win!

2007; Luxemburg, WI. -Defending track champion Benji
LaCrosse of Luxemburg continued his late season surge, passing Brian
Mullen for the lead on lap 15 and winning his second IMCA modified
feature at Luxemburg Speedway Friday night.
A total of 112 cars were in attendance including 27 IMCA modifieds,
33 IMCA stock cars, 18 IMCA hobby stocks, 15 northern sportmods and
19 sport fours.

IMCA Mod #54
Benji LaCrosse passed #72 Brian Mullen for the lead on lap 15
and took home his second 2007 season win.

Tim Jorgenson of DePere won his fifth, 15-lap IMCA Sport Mod
feature of 2007.
IMCA Sports Mod #118 Tim Jorgenson, De Pere; went wheel-to-wheel
with #74 Eric Arneson, Coleman, on his way to the front of
Friday’s feature win.
E8m Jay Matthias raced Tyler Smith’s IMCA Stock Car to victory
on Friday night.

On the lap seven Stock car restart, #8m Jay Matthias ducked
underneath Bryan Techmeier to take the race lead while #67 Jesse
Colwell and #2 Travis Van Straten tagged along second and third,
respectively as the trio hooked up and began pulling away from
the field.
IMCA Hobby Stock #40d Dave De Grave captured the 18 lap main,
his first of the season at the Burg.
I40d Dave De Grave was able to wrestle the lead away from #90
Dan Davister and snatch away his first 2007 Hobby Stock feature
win.

Suamico's Jesse Heise won the Sport Four feature.

Polesitter Dave Zeitler paced the opening
three laps of the 25 lap IMCA modified feature before a lap three
caution flew for a Brian Joski spin. On the restart Seymour's Brian
Mullen blasted into the lead and immediately began building a
sizeable cusion over the pack.
By lap 10 Benji LaCrosse, who started 11th, sliced his way through
traffic to take second. LaCrosse closed in on Mullen by lap 13 and
drove around Mullen for the lead on lap 15. LaCrosse skillfully
worked through lapped cars and went on to win his second feature
flag of the year. Mullen nipped Jared Siefert at the line for
second. Sean Jerovetz placed fourth while Jason Czarapata charged
through the field from 18th to finish fifth.
IMCA modified driver Jay Matthias drove Tyler Smith's IMCA stock car
to victory in that division's time-shortened 15 lap feature. The
event was plauged by six caution periods.
Green Bay's Bryan Techmeier led the first seven laps through three
caution periods which flew for various spinouts. On the lap seven
restart Matthias ducked underneath Techmeier to take the lead. Jesse
Colwell and Travis Van Straten tagged along second and third,
respectively as the duo hooked up and began pulling away from the
field.
A lap 13 yellow flew when Ben Kroll and Rod Snellenberger tangled,
with Kroll receiving the black flag for rough driving. With two laps
remaining Matthias fought off Jesse Colwell for the win. Travis Van
Straten, Brian Bruechert and Von Eytchenson rounded out the top five
finishers.
Tim Jorgenson of De Pere won his fifth, 15 lap IMCA
northern sportmod feature. Hometown driver Dave De Grave captured
the 18 lap IMCA hobby stock main while Suamico's Jesse Heise won the
sport four feature.
Next Friday night, August 10 Seubert Calf Ranches will sponsor a 100
lap Fastrak late model feature. A full points night in the IMCA
sanctioned divisions will take place beginning at 7 p.m. For more
