Fireworks Added to
Fourth Annual Badger State Showdown at Luxemburg July 3 and 4

2008; Denmark, WI. - - A huge fireworks display Friday
night will cap off Wisconsin's highest paying IMCA sanctioned
program at Luxemburg Speedway July 3 and 4 for the fourth annual
Badger State Showdown presented by CZ's Bushville Lanes and Sloan
and Associates Realtors.
The race was rained out one month earlier.
Four IMCA sanctioned divisions are on the card for the program at
the third-mile, clay oval located at the Kewaunee County
Fairgrounds. The show boasts a $30,000 total purse during the two
days.
Both Modified features are qualifying events for the Fast Shafts
All-Star Invitational ballot, with $1,000 paid to win on opening
night and $2,000 paid to win on Friday.
IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $700 to win on Thursday and $1,300 to
win on Friday. Top prizes for the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods
have been upped to $400 and $800, while IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks vie
for winner’s checks of $275 and $550.
National, home region and Smiley’s Racing Products state points will
be awarded for both draw/re-draw shows; local track points will also
be given Friday.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Thursday and
6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Entry fees are: Modifieds, $75 for both days, $35 for Thursday only
and $55 for Friday only; Stock Cars, $60 for both days, $30 for
Thursday only and $45 for Friday only; Northern SportMods, $40 for
both days, $20 for Thursday only and $30 for Friday only; and Hobby
Stocks, $30 for both days, $15 for Thursday only and $25 for Friday
only.
Grandstand admission on Thursday is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors
and $6 for students ages 11-15. On Friday, admission is $12 for
adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for students. Kids 10 and under are
admitted free both days when accompanied by a paying adult.
A one-day pit pass is $25; cost of a two-day pit pass is $45.
